Hello Destiny Family!
In Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians, he acknowledged their lifestyle in Christ and the good they were already doing. In the midst of doing well, Paul encouraged them to excel still more. You have done well in the years God has called us to be a church. We have gone from non-existent to a large church in these nine years, and here are just a few of our accomplishments:
Help start churches in Florida and across Texas, Partnered with a multitude of schools in the FWISD, Positively impacted marriages, Fed the hungry, Served the disenfranchised, Taught God’s Word comprehensively, Discipled children and youth, Strategically partnered with local organizations, Partook in a host of other kingdom initiatives.
The message to Destiny is the same message Paul delivered to the Thessalonians: Good job, excel still more. God has given us the vision to expand our ministry to service more people like you and to reach those who have not been touched with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Fort Worth and beyond. It is imperative that we go past where we are to where God wants us to be personally, as families, as a church and as a community. In an effort to carry out what God has called us to do as a church, we need to secure a ministry facility that can accommodate and facilitate the vision God has for Destiny Church!
Sincerely yours in Christ,
James R. Womack, M.H.S.A., Th.M.
CAMPAIGN GOAL: $1,800,000
During the past nine years, we have been blessed with tremendous growth; but that growth has stretched us to our limits. Currently, we have to streamline our worship services in order to accommodate all those who worship with us on a weekly basis. Space and parking have become problematic and are insufficient to meet our needs. We desire to see all of you connect with one another. Our current facility has inadequate space to allow for fellowship that overflows from our worship services. There is inadequate space for the adult discipleship we envision and for small group meetings and adult classes.
Our teenagers are confronted with so many challenges, and they need a dedicated space to learn, grow and explore community together. Our children learn best through interactive, playful instruction. We need space to creatively allow for maximum experience of God and His Word. Staff and volunteers lack adequate space to plan, organize, pray and strategize for/about the ministry. We need space for our larger scale special events as well as space for community events. We need space for training leaders and volunteers and space to host training for community enrichment.
