Lead Pastor

James R. Womack (M.H.S.A., TH.M.) is a man of both purpose and passion. His life passion is to maximize his life in Christ. His life partner is Cynthia. His life focus is to model and communicate Christ in all places. His life legacy is his children. His life gifts are teaching, preaching, and leading. His life functions are as partner, parent, provider, priest, and protector for his home. James has devoted his life to serving Christ in both the local church and academia. He ministers at churches, businesses, conferences, seminars, and workshops nationally to equip the saints for effective living and ministry. His goal of seeing the lives of others maximized in Christ Jesus is primarily expressed in his love and stewardship of Destiny Church in Fort Worth, Texas where he currently serves as Senior Pastor.
James received a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Health Services Administration both from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. In addition, he has earned a Master of Theology in New Testament from Dallas Theological Seminary. He has served as Pastor of Christian Education at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship and as an adjunct professor at Dallas Theological Seminary. He and Cynthia partnered together in the founding of Destiny Church, Inc., which launched in January 2007.
James is a native of Detroit, Michigan. He and Cynthia have been married since 1994 and have the privilege of discipling eight children, James II, Taylor, Jared, Josiah, Tristin, Judah, Joshua, and Tatum.

Cynthia M. Womack is a remarkable woman of God, a devoted mother, and a living embodiment of the Proverbs 31 woman. Together with Pastor Womack, she played a foundational role in establishing Destiny Church, where they have committed themselves to helping individuals maximize their lives in Christ. Cynthia’s brilliance, beauty, and dedication are evident in all she undertakes, from her deep commitment to her family to her pivotal role in various ministry efforts.

As a homeschooling mother of eight, Cynthia has successfully guided each of her children to faith in Jesus Christ. On any given Sunday, you can find her children serving alongside their family at Destiny Church, a reflection of the strong spiritual foundation she has nurtured.

At Destiny Church, Cynthia has been instrumental in creating curriculum to guide children’s spiritual growth and has designed powerful experiences for the women in the Fort Worth community. Her leadership and insight have empowered countless women, helping them grow in their faith and embrace their God-given purpose.
One unique aspect of Cynthia’s journey is her commitment to biblical study, having audited two years of Biblical Greek at Dallas Theological Seminary alongside Pastor Womack. Her deep knowledge of scripture enriches her teaching and mentoring, allowing her to make a profound impact on those she leads.

Cynthia’s partnership with Pastor Womack in ministry extends across numerous endeavors, and together, they have built a lasting legacy of faith, love, and service. Their combined efforts have touched the lives of countless families and individuals, empowering them to live out their potential in Christ.
